Lovely nose of black cherries. On the palate, an expressive style with fresh cherry notes. Good intensity and good length. The food intensified the flavour of the wine.
Attractive berry fruit and dusty spices. The palate is nicely balanced and flavourful but not overdone, finishing savoury and long. An enjoyable drink with the food.
This had some slightly stewed, ripe fruit characters. The palate was generous and soft. Clean flavours and firm tannin. It worked well with the dish. Just a little bit hot.
Fading red hues. Spice stalk and cooked plums. Sweet fruit entry followed by grainy firm tannins. Quite chewy. Looks tired and hot with the food.
Passionfruit. Strange aroma in this wine. Oregano, green fresh herbs. Hints of thyme. Cool climate Shiraz with tight pepper and oyster shell. A little bit skinny on the palate. This hair oil, coconut oak carries through the palate and dominates it. The wine has a very slight bitterness to it.
Unusual savoury nose and flavour. Mellow and supple with no rough edges. Medium weight but quite gentle and almost silky. The food however made this wine quite hard and acidic. I didn’t feel it was just the dish doing this.
